The Artisan/Artiflex lens is a small "contact lens" that’s not placed on, but in the eye. The lens is positioned in the anterior chamber in front of the iris and is fixed to the iris with clips on each side of the lens. The lens will stay there permanently and therefore you will be able to see clearly all the time; your glasses or contacts will not bother or limit you any longer.



The differences between Artisan and Artiflex
The Artisan lens is made of hard plastic and the Artiflexlens of a foldable silicone material. The foldable Artiflex lens can be inserted through a smaller incision which results in having a faster recovery.

The Artisan lens is available for nearsightedness (-1 to -23,5 D) and farsightedness (+1 to +12 D ); cylinders (astigmatism up to 7 D) can also be corrected with the Artisan lens. 
 The Artiflex lens is currently available for nearsightedness (-2 to -14.5 D)
