Ergomax approved in China

After 3 exhausting years of battle and waiting, Ophtec has finally received approval in People's Republic of China to market its Hydrophilic Acrylic IOL PC 525Y ErgomaX in March 2008.
Besides ErgomaX, ARTISAN® Phakic, Aphakia IOLs and CTR were also approved in China last year. “Now we are waiting for ARTIFLEX® registration and going to start another battle to register Aniridia IOL and IPS, which is a niche market for OPHTEC and us. With these approvals, we are positioned to expand our presence in the Chinese market. I believe more and more Chinese patients will benefit from Ophtec products.” said Ms. Mia Gu, Managing Director of Premier Med International Ltd.
