OPHTEC BV is an international operating family business, that develops, produces and sells (intraocular) lenses that are placed in the eye by ophthalmologists, for example in case of cataract, but also as a permanent replacement for glasses or contact lenses. The development and production of new lenses is done in close collaboration and consultation with ophthalmologists from all over the world. The Artilens and the Precizon, two of OPHTEC's best-known products, are unique worldwide. The head office, the production department and the ophthalmological treatment center OMC Hanzekliniek are located in Groningen. Account Manager Portugal (South)
We are looking for an enthusiastic and representative team player with a strong sense of medical commercialism for the South of Portugal. You will visit ophthalmic surgeons as well as other stakeholders to inform, advise and instruct them on specific Ophtec products, where knowledge is of the utmost importance.
Together with the Team, you are the face of Ophtec Portugal and you will actively participate in (Inter) national ophthalmic congresses. With the support of the sales office in Lisbon, Head Quarters in Groningen (The Netherlands) and your sales colleague North, you ensure solid sales results. You work from home, travel a lot within South Portugal and come to the office in Lisbon regularly for meeting and (product) training.
What do we ask
A University degree or equivalent, followed by experience in sales and relationship management is required. Experience and/or education in ophthalmology is a big advantage. Initiative and independence fit you like a glove. You have teaching skills and have achieved significant business results elsewhere. You are result oriented, inquisitive representative and a team player. You are able to build lasting relationships easily, both internally and with the customers. A good understanding of English is an absolute must!
