Stabilizing capsular bags just got smoother. This strong and flexible capsular tension ring is ingeniously easy to insert. Meet Ringject. Our preloaded Capsular Tension Ring inserter, designed to give you full control at your fingertips.
Ready. Easy. Steady.
Ringject is a preloaded capsular tension ring inserter, created by Ophtec. It is ready to use. Our capsular tension ring (CTR) has an ingenious tip-up design, for a smooth insertion. The Ringject injector allows for both clockwise and counterclockwise implantation, so you can easily change the direction whenever you need. And even better: you can use it with a single hand.
Ringject is created for complicated cataract surgery. Moreover, when implanting a premium IOL, it keeps the lens perfectly centered. So whatever your challenge, Ringject gives you full control at your fingertips.
Cataract surgery can be challenging when zonules are defective or absent. We created our capsular tension ring to stabilize the capsular bag. Especially in complicated cataract cases

Ophtec CTRs are extemely flexible and incredibly strong. Made from compression molded PMMA: a polymethyl-methacrylate, enhanced by redistributing the molecules into longer chains. Only Ophtec can tie its tension rings in a knot.
The capsular tension ring is a small, flexible, C-shaped ring made of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA). The C-shaped ring is compressed before insertion and expands once placed within the capsular bag. This design ensures that the ring can provide the necessary outward pressure to stabilize the capsular bag during surgery.
Tip-up design
The ends of the rings ar gradually formed to 'tip-up' like a ski tip. This allows the CTR to be easily gulded in the capsular bag as the ring is dialed in. The 'ski tips'allow the tips to flow unimpeded in the capsular bag and not become 'snagged'.
Ringject is created for complicated cataract surgery. When faced by zonular weaknesses, it keeps the capsular bag steady. Also, when implanting a (premium) IOL, our CTRs keep 97.8% of implanted artificial lenses centered*.
