Can you describe your role as a Sales Office Assistant?
‘I primarily focus on processing orders, labeling, and coordinating the transportation of these orders. While I don’t have much direct contact with customers, I frequently communicate with colleagues from the internal sales and logistics teams. Essentially, I act as a liaison between these departments. I also often interact with transport companies.’
What do you enjoy most about your job?
‘I find it most exciting to promptly resolve issues for our customers,’ Annemarie admits with a smile. ‘Before an order reaches its intended destination, there are many parties involved. Sometimes, things can go wrong along the way, and it is truly rewarding to be able to address and resolve them as smoothly as possible.’
What are your aspirations for professional growth?
‘I am eager to take advantage of the training opportunities provided by Ophtec. For instance, I would love to learn additional languages and potentially have the chance to travel abroad. Spain or South Africa are destinations that particularly appeal to me.'
What has been your experience in the ophthalmic sector so far?
‘When I joined Ophtec, I was immersed in the world of ophthalmology through e-learning courses and company tours. It opened up a whole new world for me, one that I would never have experienced as a patient. I find it incredibly fascinating to learn more about eyes, lenses, and the latest developments within this sector.’
