Precizon Presbyopic is a hydrophilic acrylic IOL designed to correct presbyopia and astigmatism.

The Precizon Presbyopic uses two patented technologies in its optic. The first one is transitional conic toric (TCT) technology which makes the lens more forgiving to decentration during surgery with less loss of quality of vision. The second is continuous transitional focus (CTF) technology which offers your patient a full range of vision from near to infinity with a smooth continuous transition.


This lens is designed with CTF, where a multiple segments optic on the anterior surface achieves a smooth transition from far to near focus. This transition offers a constant defocus between the two sharp focal points, delivering excellent intermediate vision. 


A TCT optic is the foundation of astigmatism correction. A TCT optic is tolerant of misalignment because different conic constants are calculated, not only on the horizontal and vertical axis, but also between 0° and 90° degrees.

Clinical science compendium

This clinical science compendium provides a consolidated view of a total of 10 studies, including: bench studies, scientific papers and presentations from international ophthalmology journals and congresses, involving the Precizon Presbyopic IOL and its patented Continuous Transitional Focus (CTF) technology.

All this scientific data is the result of research studies conducted to evaluate the performance of the Precizon Presbyopic IOL, and/or the outcomes in patients receiving surgical implantation of the IOL.

Natural vision at all distances

The transitional zones of the CTF optic offer a full range of vision from near to infinity with a smooth continuous transition. The CTF aspheric surface forms a broad beam of light, a zone with an enhanced depth of focus with uninterrupted high-quality images for the brain to translate into clear vision at all distances.

Tolerance of misalignment

In a significant percentage of cases, IOLs tend to rotate a few degrees before they stabilize. This leads to a loss of quality of vision in regular toric IOLs. The TCT optic however is designed to be more forgiving to misalignment with less loss of quality of vision. The CTF segments allow an equal and steady light distribution in case of rotation or tilt, where the patient can still benefit from the same near and far vision.

Reducing glare and halos

The misalignment tolerance and the use of segments instead of concentric rings reduce photic phenomena, thereby helping patients to adapt more naturally to their new vision.
